Matt Hetherington
For S. B.

i don’t hide
it, i sit on
it, and until i tell
it bent, like the root
is, but don’t deny
it’s all about me
like the world
is, then horribly
i’m a stinking case
i live every word of
it, i assure myself
i look, ergo
i go into
it, as far as
i can take
it, i just give & give
i told you
it before
what’s that?
