Judith Bishop’s collection Interval (UQP, 2018) won the 2019 Kenneth Slessor Prize and was shortlisted for the Melbourne Prize for Literature – Best Writing Award in 2018. Judith’s poems have inspired a number of other artworks: two poems from Interval have become lyrics for musical compositions: ‘Aubade’ (Mastaneh Nazarian, 2019), and ‘14 Weeks’ (Jane Stanley, 2021, for Composeher), while ‘Vertical’ is the subject of a short film by Jutta Pryor (2020).
